1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Read Roost ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

Read Roost is a certification exam preparation platform that provides AI-validated practice question banks for IT certifications including AWS, Azure, CompTIA, Kubernetes, Databricks, CISSP, and others. Practice questions are generated by AI models and validated against the official learning materials for each exam. The service includes study tools such as mistake-driven review, spaced repetition, per-domain progress tracking, and our refund guarantees on paid study packs (see Section 6).

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4. Privacy and Data Protection

We take your privacy seriously. Your personal data is encrypted client-side before being transmitted to our servers. We use a zero-knowledge architecture where even we cannot access your encrypted content without your personal encryption key. For more details, please review our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload or share copyrighted material without proper authorization
• Engage in any illegal or harmful activities
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use the service to spam, harass, or harm others
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code

6. Billing, Refunds and Guarantees

Purchases

Study packs and Lifetime (Certification Engine) access are one-time purchases. We no longer offer new monthly or annual subscriptions; existing subscribers may keep or cancel their plan at any time through their account settings. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with 30 days' notice; changes do not affect purchases already made.

14-day money-back guarantee

You may request a full refund of any purchase within 14 days of the purchase date, for any reason, no questions asked.

Pass Guarantee (paid study packs)

If you buy a paid study pack, study it, sit the corresponding certification exam within 6 months of purchase, and do not pass, you may request a full refund of the amount you paid for that pack. To claim, contact us within 30 days of your exam with (a) evidence that you studied the pack and (b) an official exam score report showing a fail for the matching certification. We may request reasonable additional information to verify a claim. The Pass Guarantee applies once per pack per person, covers the amount paid for that pack, and excludes claims made in bad faith (for example, fabricated results or no genuine exam attempt).

How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via our payment processor (Stripe), typically within 5 to 10 business days. When a refund is issued, access to the refunded pack ends. To request a refund, contact us at [email protected].

Your consumer-law rights

Nothing in this section limits or excludes any rights or remedies you have under applicable consumer protection law (including the Australian Consumer Law), which apply in addition to these guarantees.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Read Roost and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to the content you upload to the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Read Roost be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
